The Engineering Process at TWI

The engineering process is a set of steps engineers use to solve an issue. This involves identifying the goal and determining the constraints, then designing and building, and finally testing. This is an essential aspect of every project we undertake at TWI. It helps us ensure that our projects comply with the highest standards of safety and performance. This is especially important for New York City project as they must meet strict specifications.

In this phase, students research the problem to better understand the problem and collect data. This is an open-ended and student-centered approach to science that reorients classes away from traditional teaching.

Students brainstorm ways to solve the issue. This can be done by using whiteboards, software, or discussions. Some ideas may not work, but that’s okay because it allows them to try different ideas and find the best solution.

After analyzing the results of their research and brainstorming, the group decides on a develop and build. It could be done on paper, using CAD software, or even through the creation of a prototype, which could be physical or virtual. This is an excellent step for students as they can design an actual prototype to allow them to test their solutions.

This is http://emjay-eng.com where engineers have to be mindful because they are governed by constraints such as time, cost, tools, and resources. Engineers must also bear in mind that their solutions must to be secure and effective to be able to be utilized in the real world.
